My subject reveals itself to me through the process of painting. It is abstract but can become quite specific. I am interested in a vivid sense of the overall structure, what Bomberg called ‘the spirit in the mass’ and in trying to fix the quiddity of my encounter with the subject.

Born in 1988. Lives and works in Shropshire, UK.
